Main Ingredients: Cimetidine
Description: This product is a white tablet, or a light blue or light green tablet with colorants added, or a film-coated tablet.
Indications: Used for the symptomatic treatment of vomiting caused by chronic gastritis in dogs.
Usage and Dosage: Oral administration: Dogs weighing 6~10kg use 1/2 tablet, dogs weighing 11~20kg use 1 tablet, 3 times a day, for 28 consecutive days.
Adverse Reactions: May cause temporary slight swelling of the breasts in female dogs or gynecomastia in male dogs; male dogs may experience prostate weight loss, which is reversible and has no effect on reproductive function.
Precautions:
(1) This product is only used for symptomatic treatment. It is recommended that dogs with persistent vomiting symptoms undergo appropriate examinations before treatment to diagnose the cause.
(2) For dogs with renal insufficiency, the dosage needs to be adjusted appropriately.
(3) Relevant studies on target animals during pregnancy and lactation have not been conducted for this product. Use during pregnancy and lactation should be under the guidance of a licensed veterinarian.
(4) This product may have clinical interactions with drugs such as beta-receptor antagonists, calcium channel antagonists, benzodiazepines, barbiturates, phenytoin, theophylline, aminophylline, warfarin, and lidocaine. When used in combination, the dosage of these drugs should be reduced.
(5) This product may cause an increase in gastric acid leading to reduced drug absorption, requiring an acidic medium to promote absorption; the dosing interval with aluminum hydroxide or magnesium oxide, metoclopramide, digoxin, and ketoconazole should be at least 2 hours.
(6) After opening, the remaining tablets should be stored in the blister packaging, protected from light.
(7) Keep out of reach of children.
