Main Ingredients: Calcium Carbasalate
Description: This product is an off-white powder.
Pharmacological Action: Antipyretic and analgesic. This product is a complex salt of calcium acetylsalicylate and urea. After oral administration to chickens, it hydrolyzes into aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid). Aspirin is rapidly absorbed, mainly metabolized by the liver, and rapidly degraded to salicylic acid in the chicken body. This product mainly exerts antipyretic, analgesic, and anti-inflammatory effects through aspirin.
Functions and Indications: Antipyretic and analgesic. Used for fever and pain in chickens.
Dosage and Administration: Calculated as this product. Oral administration: A single dose of 80 to 160 mg per 1 kg of body weight for chickens.
Adverse Reactions: No adverse reactions have been observed when used according to the prescribed dosage and administration.
Precautions:
(1) Contraindicated in laying hens during the laying period.
(2) Do not use concurrently with other salicylate antipyretic analgesics.
(3) Glucocorticoids can stimulate gastric acid secretion and reduce the resistance of the gastric and duodenal mucosa to gastric acid. Concurrent use with this product may aggravate gastrointestinal bleeding. Concurrent use with alkaline drugs reduces efficacy, and is generally not recommended.
(4) Continuous medication should not exceed 5 days.
