Main Ingredients: Oxytetracycline Hydrochloride
Description: This product is a pale yellow powder.
Pharmacology: Tetracycline antibiotic. Oxytetracycline binds reversibly to receptors on the 30S subunit of bacterial ribosomes, interfering with the formation of the ribosome complex by tRNA and mRNA, preventing peptide chain elongation and inhibiting protein synthesis, thereby rapidly inhibiting bacterial growth and reproduction. Oxytetracycline has an inhibitory effect on both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Cross-resistance exists between oxytetracycline and doxycycline.
Function and Indication: Tetracycline antibiotic. Used for the treatment of infectious diseases in pigs and chickens caused by sensitive Escherichia coli, Salmonella, Pasteurella, and Mycoplasma.
Dosage and Administration: Calculated based on this product. Drinking water: For every 1L of water, 1~2g for pigs; 1.5~2.5g for chickens. Administer consecutively for 3~5 days.
Adverse Reactions: Long-term use can cause secondary infections and liver damage.
Precautions:
(1) This product should not be used in combination with penicillin drugs or drugs/feeds containing calcium salts, iron salts, and polyvalent metal ions.
(2) Concurrent use with strong diuretics can aggravate renal impairment.
(3) It is not suitable to mix with tap water containing high levels of chlorine or alkaline solutions.
(4) Contraindicated in sick animals with severe hepatic and renal impairment.
Withdrawal Period: Pigs 7 days, Chickens 5 days; Egg withdrawal period 2 days.
