Ciprofloxacin Hydrochloride Soluble Powder

Product Information

Main Ingredients: Ciprofloxacin Hydrochloride

Description: This product is a white to slightly yellow powder.

Pharmacological Action:

Pharmacodynamics: Ciprofloxacin belongs to broad-spectrum bactericidal antibacterial drugs. It has good efficacy against Escherichia coli, Salmonella, Klebsiella, Brucella, Bacillus, Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Haemophilus parasuis, Proteus, Serratia marcescens, Corynebacterium pyogenes, Bordetella avium, Staphylococcus aureus, Mycoplasma, Chlamydia, etc. Its effect on Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Streptococcus is relatively weak, and its effect on anaerobes is slight. It has a significant post-antibiotic effect on sensitive bacteria. The mechanism of action is acting on bacterial DNA gyrase, interfering with bacterial DNA replication, transcription, and repair recombination, causing bacteria to die due to inability to grow and reproduce normally.

Pharmacokinetics: This product is rapidly absorbed after oral administration, but incompletely. It is widely distributed in the body and can enter tissues and body fluids well. It is mainly excreted in urine in its original form.

Drug Interactions: ① Synergistic effect when used with aminoglycosides or broad-spectrum penicillins. ② Heavy metal ions such as Ca²⁺, Mg²⁺, Fe³⁺, and Al³⁺ can chelate with this product, affecting absorption. ③ When used with theophylline or caffeine, due to changes in protein binding rate, the plasma protein binding rate decreases, and the concentration of theophylline and caffeine in the blood rises abnormally, even leading to theophylline toxicity symptoms. ④ It has an inhibitory effect on liver drug enzymes, which can reduce the clearance rate of drugs mainly metabolized in the liver and increase blood drug concentration.

Function and Indication: Fluoroquinolone antibacterial drug. Used for bacterial and mycoplasma infections.
