Praziquantel Premix

Praziquantel Premix

Product Information

Main Ingredients: Praziquantel

Description: This product is a white or off-white powder.

Pharmacological Action: Anthelmintic. Praziquantel can block carbohydrate metabolism, and also destroy the surface glycocalyx and change its permeability, making it unable to adapt to the non-isotonic water environment, thereby causing damage to the cells of the tegument, muscle, and parenchymal tissues. Praziquantel can also cause depolarization of the parasite's surface membrane, reduce the activity of alkaline phosphatase in the tegument, inhibit glucose uptake, and deplete endogenous glycogen. Additionally, praziquantel can inhibit the synthesis of nucleic acids and proteins in the parasite, ultimately leading to death.

Functions and Uses: Anthelmintic. Used to kill parasites such as acanthocephalans and tapeworms in fish.
