Bismuth Subcarbonate Tablets

Bismuth Subcarbonate Tablets

Product Information

Main Ingredients: Bismuth Subcarbonate

Description: This product is white to slightly yellow tablets.

Pharmacological Action:

It is poorly absorbed after oral administration. A small portion dissociates bismuth ions in the gastrointestinal tract, which bind to proteins to produce astringent and mucosal protective effects. Bismuth subcarbonate coats the intestinal mucosal surface. Meanwhile, free bismuth ions in the intestinal tract combine with hydrogen sulfide to form insoluble bismuth sulfide, covering the intestinal surface. It provides mechanical protection for the intestinal mucosa and reduces the irritation of hydrogen sulfide to the intestinal mucosa.
