Composition:
Main Ingredient(s): Oxfendazole. Each 1 mL contains oxfendazole 50 mg (5% w/v).
Description: A white to off-white suspension; shake well before use.
Pharmacological Action: Benzimidazole anthelmintic. It binds to parasite beta-tubulin, inhibits microtubule assembly and blocks glucose uptake, so the worms are starved of energy and expelled.
Indications:
For the control of mature and immature gastrointestinal roundworms and lungworms in cattle, sheep, goats and pigs, and of Ascaridia and Heterakis in poultry.
Dosage and Administration:
Administered orally. Calculated as oxfendazole: 2.5-5 mg per 1 kg body weight as a single dose. Withdrawal period: 14 days (meat).
